Jamison Masonry Restoration was contracted by Tague Lumber Company to evaluate, restore, and rejuvenate the concrete floor of their Malvern showroom. Many areas of the existing floor had spalled concrete, crumbling expansion joints and VCT grid lines.
Jamison began by cleaning the floor with mild acids, detergents and degreasers as needed. Once clean, a graduated grinding process began, moving from 30-grit to 150-grit metals. After the deteriorated concrete had been removed, and the underlying black aggregate was exposed, a Consolideck hardener / densifier was applied, and again buffed using a graduated series of 100-grit through 1500-grit diamond resin pads. A final coat of LS Guard was applied with a diamond-impregnated pad, achieving the desired result of a clean, fortified, high-gloss polish finished.
